Parent Resources
Books
The Parent-Teacher (P-T) collection consists of
books, videos and audiocassettes on childrearing and child development as
well as curriculum resources, homeschooling resources, and informational
picture books for parents to share with children. Conveniently
located in the Children's Room for browsing, this collection supplements
books found in the Main Library. Some examples of popular titles
include:
- The New York Times Parent's Guide to the Best Books for Children

An
especially fine arrangement of recommended books arranged by age
appropriateness. The indexes are extremely helpful; there is an
illustrator index, a subject index, and an age appropriate index as well
as the usual author and title index.
