The technical services department handles the acquisitions, cataloging and processing of all library materials for all library departments.

Jackie is illustrating one of the older technologies in our Library - the card catalog - but, in fact, her job here keeps her on the cutting edge of technology in libraries. Jackie orders and receives books and non-book material for the entire library collection, and enters substantial parts of our collection - item by item - into the computer database. It's a never ending job for this library, since we handle tens of thousands of items every year
