Meet The Librarian
Alissa Lauzon - Alissa Lauzon is the newest member of our staff here at the Library, joining us in November 2004. She is a native of Vermont but has lived in Wisconsin and in Syracuse, NY, where she attended graduate school and earned her Masters degree in Library Science. She loves being back in the New England area, where she is near her grandfather and her cousins. Alissa says “I have the best job! I get to order lots of cool books and great music. I love interacting with teenagers - greeting them, helping them find books to read, or signing them up for computers. I also love answering questions at the Reference Desk, which to me is sometimes like solving a good puzzle.” Our newest librarian is an ‘80s cartoon freak! She even collects the original Care Bears! When Alissa is not curling up in Haverhill with a good book, she may be traveling to places such as Russia, Kazakhstan, or France (where she’s been) or India and Ireland (where she hopes to go someday). She is an avid crafter, and has admittedly eclectic tastes in music. |
