Meet The Librarian
Faris Bennett Faris has been a professional librarian at our Information Desk since 1988, having been hired just a week before Bob Wilson. She left the Haverhill Library for a while beginning in 2002, but we were able to get her back again in 2004! Faris is always kept busy reviewing and ordering DVDs for our collection - one of the Library's highest circulating areas - and is one of the Beginning Internet class teachers on our staff. Faris grew up in New York City and Bedford, NY, coincidentally not very far from where Bob Wilson grew up in Westchester County. She lives now in West Newbury, and in addition to her Library career, works as an artist and polarity therapist. In the past, Faris has worked as a special needs teacher and a house painter! Her daughter Georgia will be attending Berklee School of Music in Boston in the Fall of 2005. June 2005 |
