Gael Nappa - Children's Room Gael loves working with the children who come to visit the 2nd floor Children's Room. When children learn to love to read, it gives her a special satisfaction. Gael particularly likes "the hunt" - the search for that one elusive special book that is loved, revered, and desperately needed, but whose author and title just can't be recalled. You may remember Gael from the years she worked at the Main Desk, where she started with the Library in 1994. Gael has taken on the tough job of Union Steward for the Library's unionized employees. Gael was born in Spokane, WA and grew up in Michigan and Virginia. She has been married for 27 years, has "a stepdaughter, a daughter, a son, 2 grandchildren, 3 cats and a dog!" Her daughter recently became engaged to be married and will be obtaining a doctorate degree in 2006, and her son is attending the New England Institute of Art. If you have an interest in theater, she would love to talk with you, because she has been actively involved in a local theater group for years (along with members of her family!). She has been in charge of productions, as well as acted on stage on many occasions. Oh, and she loves to shop on eBay! June 2004 |
