Community Information Database

The Haverhill Public Library, along with other Merrimack Valley libraries, gathers information from local community organizations and makes it available to the public. The Community Information Database (Comm Info) provides current information on non-profit groups and services in our area. The database includes information on hundreds of clubs, organizations, and agencies in Haverhill and up and down the length of the Merrimack River Valley of Massachusetts.

Using Comm Info, you can look for one particular group by name, or get a list of groups in the area that all do the same thing. Limit your search to Haverhill, or search the whole Merrimack Valley. Typical questions that this database can answer are:

  • When does the local Lions Club meet?

  • What local groups offer scholarships for high school students?

  • What book clubs are currently available for me to join?

Comm Info is available on the Web at http://community.mvlc.org/?profile=main#focus If you don't have the Internet at home, and can't make it into the library in person, just call us at the Information Desk (978) 373-1586  x608, and we'll do a search for you.

If you are currently involved with a social organization, club, support group, health service, children's service or other non-profit group, and you would like to be included in Comm Info, please call Bob Wilson at the Information Desk at the Library (978-373-1586  x608). We will be glad to include you in this valuable service! The application form is now available online.
