The Pentucket Medical Associates (PMA) Room is located on the first floor of the library.  It is made available through a generous donation from Pentucket Medical Associates in Haverhill.  It is 310 square feet and seats 15, conference style w/Cable, TV w/VCR and DVD player and wireless internet access.

The Milhendler Room is located on the first floor of the library.  It is made available through a generous donation from Milhendler Family of in Haverhill.  It is 416 square feet in size and features Cable, TV w/VCR, DVD player and wireless internet access. The Milhendler room seats 30 people around 6 tables.

The Johnson Auditorium is located on the second floor of the library.  It is made available through a generous donation from Johnson Family of in Haverhill.  It is 3,564 square feet in size and features a wood stage, kitchenette, drop down projection screen, and is cable and wireless Internet ready.  The Johnson Auditorium seats 150, lecture style.

The Donald C. Freeman Whittier Room is located on the second floor of the library.  It is made available through a generous donation of the Freeman family of Haverhill. The Whittier Room features a collection of writings by and about Haverhill Native John Greenleaf Whittier.  The collections are available for viewing by appointment only; the room is not booked for meetings to the general public.  The Whittier Room is 300  square feet in size and seats 10, conference style.

Easels, overhead and LCD projectors may be available for use by your organization; please inquire.

Other Public Meeting Rooms
There are other public meeting places in the City of Haverhill; please note that some of these locations charge a fee for usage.

Meeting Room Policy
The following regulations will govern the use of the Library's facilities, and the applicant will take full responsibility for the adherence to those regulations by the group.

RULES FOR THE USE OF LIBRARY MEETING ROOMS 

  1. Library Programs and activities have absolute priority.
  1. Meeting rooms are available to any Haverhill non-profit organization for meetings or programs of an educational, cultural or civic nature. All programs must be appropriate to the facility and scheduled during regular library hours.
  1. Permission to use the meeting room does not constitute endorsement of that group's philosophy or objectives by the Haverhill Public Library.
  1. No admission fee may be charged, no donations solicited, and no merchandise or beverages may be sold by any group without written permission in advance from the Board of Trustees or the Library Director.
  1. Food and beverages may be served in the meeting rooms and shall be limited to a light refreshment.
  1. The use or sale of alcoholic beverages is absolutely prohibited, as is smoking.
  1. If in the opinion of the Board of Trustees or the Library Director, the presence of a police officer is advisable, the group using the meeting room will hire one at its own expense.
  1. A $20 custodial services fee will be charged for any meeting held in the Johnson Auditorium. This fee is refundable only if the library has to cancel the scheduled meeting. Please make checks payable to the Haverhill Public Library.
  1. Groups or promotional material endorsing specific political parties or candidates or representing the doctrines of particular religious denominations are not allowed on public property.
  1. The library assumes no responsibility for the safety of any private property brought on the premises. Any damage to library property must be paid for by the organization authorized to use the facility.
  1. Evening use of the Johnson Auditorium may be limited to a maximum of once a month by any group or organization.
  1. Parking facilities are not the responsibility of the library.
  1. The meeting rooms will be left in a neat, orderly condition. All fire laws will be strictly enforced.
