Volunteer Tasks
The
Friends Group is the most active volunteer group, but volunteers are needed in other departments and capacities as well.

The Greater Haverhill Adult Learning Program (GHALP) seeks volunteer tutors on an ongoing basis to tutor GED, ESL, literacy and more. Potential tutors should call Anne Powell at (979) 373-1586 ext. 623 to schedule a short interview and fill out an application. The program wouldn't be possible without our volunteer tutors.

The Teen Cyber Center relies on teenage volunteers to make suggestions for purchases, help with special Young Adult projects, and to assist our Young Adult Librarian in maintaining a vibrant and up-to-date YA materials collection.

Teens are also invited to serve on the Teen Advisory Board, which meets monthly to recommend library purchases and programs for teens. please contact Alissa Lauzon at (978) 373-1586 ext. 608 to become a teen volunteer.

Technical Services needs volunteers to assist with mending and withdrawing items to the collection.

The Children's Room needs volunteers to shelve books and assist with programs.

The Office Staff needs volunteers to assist with photocopying and other tasks.
