Tips for choosing a screen name
This is the hardest part of setting up any type of email or chat account!
- Choose a user id that is a unique combination of letters and numbers.
- Remember that millions of people may be listed in the system, so finding a name that no one else has may be difficult.
- DO NOT USE:
-Your real first name
-Your real last name
-Your location (i.e. hilliegirl, HaverhillGuy)
-Your zip code
-A suggestive name or word (i.e. sexyman69, hotbabygirl)
-Pornographic or obscene words
- DO TRY TO USE:
-A nickname (ie scooter, ace, cutiepie)
-Something that relates to a favorite hobby, musical group or movie (i.e. skaterdude, KornKid, JamesBond008)
-Add the current year to the end of the name if someone is already using the name you want (ie, KornKid_99)
-Add a second letter to your nickname (ie jjohnny instead of johnny)
- For added security, always opt NOT to add your name or nickname to any sort of member directory.
