Summer Reading Competition and Sign-ups
We’re well on our way into July now and it is definitely time to step it up for summer reading.
If you’ve been catching up on your sleep since the end of school, you’re missing out! Haverhill Public Library has a kids (Grades K-5), teens (Grades 6-12) and adult (18+ and out of school) summer reading program. Sign up and log how many books you’re reading – there’s prizes, glory and more!
And, teens, it is time to get serious about your summer reading!
Teens and Adults are competing to see which group can read the most books this summer. Right now, the competition is awfully close: teens have read 166 books and adults are just behind with 162 books. Everyone knows this shouldn’t be a competition. If every teen in Haverhill logged the books they’re reading for the school summer reading assignments alone, we’d have upwards of 1,000 books read. And, honestly, do you really want to let the adults show you up?
Get out there. Sign up for summer reading! Get your friends to sign up! Log your books!
Remember, if you read 4 books this summer, you can come to the Teen Zone and collect your certificate for a free appetizer at Pizzeria UNO.
