Financial Literacy Month!

With Tax Day around the corner, it’s no surprise that April is recognized by the U.S. as Financial Literacy Month!

No one likes to talk about money, so you are in luck, the library has many books and other resources to help get your finances in order:

Money Smart Week March 30th to April 6th 2019

Here are resources from the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago who in 2002 created Money Smart Week as a public awareness campaign designed to help consumers better mange their personal finances.

At their website, you can search for a local event and sign up to have personal financial management resources and news delivered to your mailbox. Click here to access additional resources that they offer.

More information can be found at the Council for Economic Education, who conduct a full roster of events throughout the month to highlight the importance of economic and financial education.
