Blast Off into a Universe of Stories!

School’s out for the summer, and our summer reading programs are finally here! This year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories,” and we have a lot of fun activities going on for people of all ages to join.

Children- Registration began on June 8th, logging starts on June 29th, and all completed logs must be turned in by August 8th. For more information about children’s events, reading lists and more, visit the webpage HERE or call (978) 373-1586 x626 to speak with the children’s room staff.

Teens- Registration and logging began on June 17th, and logging will continue through August 9th. All those entering 6th grade in the fall and those who graduated high school in 2019 are eligible to sign up as teens. Stop by the reference desk to register and pick up a bingo sheet. Every square completed will earn you a raffle ticket, and every BINGO will earn you a scratch ticket. Check out summer reading lists for different grade levels HERE, and get in touch with our awesome teen librarian Rachel or a reference librarian if you have questions!

Adults- Registration and logging began on June 17th and logging will continue through August 17th. Sign up at the reference desk, grab a bingo sheet, and read to your heart’s delight—every completed square gets you candy or library swag, and a BINGO earns you a raffle ticket! Prizes include a book set, a dinner and movie combo, and tickets to the Museum of Science. If you have any questions, call (978) 373-1586 x608, email reference@haverhillpl.org, or ask any of your friendly neighborhood reference librarians for more details.

Finally, we’re hosting a “blast off” event on Saturday, June 29th from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. that you won’t want to miss. There will be giveaways, ice cream, face painting, and so much more! It’s guaranteed to be a totally stellar, story-filled summer.
