Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

In the aftermath of a war between gods and men, a hero, a librarian, and a girl must battle the fantastical elements of a mysterious city stripped of its name.” This book starts off with a woman with blue skin falling from the sky, so if that doesn’t hook you I don’t know what will! Our protagonist is a young librarian, Lazlo, who sets forth on a journey with a mysterious army to help get their city back. The city has no name, it was ripped from everyone’s memories almost a decade ago and the only word that comes out when they try to say the name is Weep. Lazlo has been obsessed with Weep since he was a child and has been studying anything related to the city in his free time. Once he finally arrives with the army, the mysteries of Weep are far more fantastical and complicated than he could have ever imagined.

Laini Taylor is such a beautiful writer and if you have enjoyed her previous books you will not be disappointed with Strange the Dreamer.
