Dairy Queen by Catherine Murdock: Teen Review by Kelsea A.
Dairy Queen is about a girl who lives on a farm in Wisconsin, her dad has a broken hip and effects a lot of her life. DJ, the farm girl has several problems in fact. Her dad can’t run the farm or milk the cows. Her brother Curtis barely talks. Her mom is usually always at work and her two older brothers, Bill and Wen left because a fight between their dad. And now a spoiled football player is sent over for DJ to coach until pre-season starts. Although, somehow DJ manages to deal with all these events in her life, experience her first crush and shock thousands of Wisconsin citizens. I guess that last part I will leave for you to read and find out on your own because it’s a big surprise.
This book has a mix of everything, if your looking for a book to read for the week I am sure your eyes will be stuck to the book until you finish. It’s that good!!

I really enjoyed Dairy Queen as well Kelsea! Have you read the sequels? DJ is one of my favorite teen narrators- I find her voice to be fresh and funny and really enjoyed her insight into the events going on in her life.
