What Is Happening to the Teen Zone?
We’re hearing an awful lot of ZOMG comments about the Teen Zone. You may have noticed we’ve a lot of empty shelves along the back wall. Well, here’s an attempt to answer ALL the questions about this phenomenon in one go.
Are you ready? Good…
Are we closing the Teen Zone? No.
Are we getting rid of all the books? Are you crazy? This is a library! No, the books are ALL still here.
Where are the books? The books have move two shelves back into what use to be the ‘Biography’ section.
Why? We have been working to add a couple of computers into the Teen Zone for after-school homework and other such shenanigans. This is a strictly “coming soon” project. For now, you’ll just notice a lot of books in different places.
Where are the Summer Reading Books? High School Summer Reading Books are all still here. They’ve taken up the shelves beneath the windows on the Main Street facing wall. There’s a display of some of the Middle School Summer Reading books right next to them.
Truly, we’re sorry for any confusion. If you’re trying to find a book and struggling to do so, holler at Sam or nicely ask one of the other librarians and we will do our best to get you to the book(s) you need!
