Best YA Books Ever

Haverhill teens have been voting on the Best YA Books this month as a response to NPR’s Top 100 list.

For the most part, we agree with NPR’s list although we’d move Harry Potter back from the number 1 spot to number 2 and push Suzanne Collin’s Hunger Games (all of them!) forward to the most beloved position.

Other books that Haverhill teens loved included To Kill a Mockingbird, Outsiders, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents and the Night World Series.

What do you think? What’s your favorite YA novel? Leave a comment below or tell us on Facebook at HPL Teens.

Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger, hands down. Other faves: Rats Saw God by Rob Thomas, Feed by MT Anderson, Annie on my Mind by Nancy Garden,

  2. Alissa Lauzon says:

The Outsiders… As a teen, I read my copy so many times it literally fell apart. I was a big L.J. Smith fan back then too.
