Wow, No Thank You by Samantha Irby

“Wow, No Thank You” is the perfect collection for anyone who wants to laugh even if they feel like everything around them is a dumpster fire. Samantha Irby candidly talks about a slew of topics ranging from her trouble making friends as an adult, Crohn’s disease, and being a queer woman in a small town in Michigan all in a sarcastic tone that is a joy to consume. Definitely raunchy and brazen, this collection won’t be for everyone but if you’re a fan of David Sedaris or comedy like Aidy Bryant’s show “Shrill” (Irby was a writer and chronicles that experience here) you will definitely appreciate this book and her stories.

This is truly one of the funniest books I’ve read this year. I love any book that can offer me a point of view and descriptions of a life very different from my own but still be relatable and hilarious.
