With an eCard, your library is open 24/7!

About eCards

Residents of Massachusetts who do not already have a library card within the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium can apply for an eCard and gain access to a variety of online resources.  Once you complete the application, your information will be verified and you will get an email with your eCard barcode and PIN (by default, your PIN is the last four digits of your phone number).

Your eCard will grant access to Overdrive/Libby and other e-resources, some of which depend on your residency.  You will need to get a physical card to borrow physical items from the library building.

Getting an eCard

To get an eCard, patrons must not have an account in our system and must provide their legal first name, last name, physical address, telephone number, and email address using the form below.  Successful applicants will receive an email with an eCard barcode, and their PIN will be set to the last four digits of their phone number.

Converting an eCard to a Physical Card

Patrons with an eCard may convert their card to a physical card.  An MVLC patron should go to their hometown library with proof of address to convert their eCard.  A non-MVLC patron should contact our Circulation Department at 978-373-1586 ext. 603 for guidance.
